Last Call: Catskill-opoly

The last stack of Catskill-opoly games is finding their way to shops across The Catskills and homes across the world. Yep, the world - seems crazy to me too. I've basically been living at the post office, shipping boxes across New York, but also Texas, Florida, the Carolinas, Virginia, Montana, Colorado, California, Canada, and even across the Atlantic to Europe.

I'm working on lining up a larger order but it'll be a long while before they arrive. So grab one while you can, or make friends with someone who already has one. Thanks again for all the feedback and support - these were a far bigger hit than I anticipated. Already cooking up some other stuff for us all. Long live the Catskills.

Approved: Crew Clubs

Last week I floated the idea of community-led Crew Clubs, and the response was off the charts—94% of you said “Heck yea!” The people have spoken, so now it’s time to make it happen.

The suggestions have already started rolling in: fly fishing, hiking, yoga, running, reading, parenting (both human and dog varieties), cooking, tennis, crafting, and even a Dungeons & Dragons crew (love it). If you raised your hand to help lead one, check your inbox—I’ve started reaching out.

Next up? Figuring out the best structure and management so these clubs can thrive. Can’t wait to see where this goes. Stay tuned!

Burger Quest: Top 20

The quest to find The Best Burger in the Catskills has already begun. I set out into the night, slipping into corner booths and hiding behind menus, feasting on burgers in delicious anonymity. While consuming this many burgers will take time, here’s top 20 most nominated burgers for my fellow enthusiasts to explore (P.S. the crew member favorite vote is coming soon).

Night Sky: New Moon

On January 29th, we're getting a New Moon - this is when it begins to play hide and seek with the Sun, becoming completely invisible to us earthbound observers. After this lunar reset, the Moon will set about an hour later each night, retreating from the Sun at a pace of 12° per evening. In a week, the First Quarter Moon will start to light up the night sky again.

Meet Jo, a brown tabby who lives for chilling out and eating (honestly, same), Elsa, a mysterious 59-pound German Shepherd quietly waiting for the right family to share her secrets with, and Buffy, our first-ever featured bunny who will probably steal the show.

Waves to Woods

We're gathering friends, neighbors, and strangers to hang by the fire and drink some beers at West Kill Brewing this Saturday. There will be tunes from our buddy DJ Whippoorwill, a food truck, Jetty box truck with tons of merch (including a limited edition Catskill Collab), and more! A portion of the proceeds will go to support the legendary work of Trout Unlimited.
