Depending on where you are, you may have woken up to some snow (7 inches of fresh pow pow over here). So for that reason, we should kick this off with the best Hot Toddy recipe known to man before we get into all the events.

Greatest Hot Toddy Recipe 🍹

Quick history lesson. The Toddy was a category of drinks that dates back to the 1700s (someone double fact-check me on that), and it was quite simple, consisting of the spirit, a little bit of sugar, and water. Over time, it has evolved and it became fashionable to drink it hot, thus the Hot Toddy was born. But we can do better than that…

What You’ll Need

• Scotch (I use a blended malt whiskey called Monkey Shoulder, but this is dealer’s choice.)

• Honey Syrup which is a 3:1 honey to water ratio

• Fresh lemon juice

• Chamomile tea

• Cinnamon in stick form

• Whole cloves

• A lemon

Recipe

• Make the chamomile tea, set it off to the side and let it steep

• Get your mug, temperate with some hot water, then dump it out

• Pour 1.5 oz of spirit into the hot mug

• Add .5 oz of your honey syrup

• Add .25 oz of your fresh lemon juice

• Drop in your cinnamon stick

• Top it off with your chamomile tea which should be about 4 oz

• Cut a lemon peel, express the oils, and rub it around the rim

• Then punch a few cloves through the peel and lay it across the top of the drink

• Now chug it down and make another!

• Hasbrouck House, Stone Ridge - Cauldron Bar is now open at Butterfield. Stop by for an apres-ski inspired menu, drinks to warm your bones, and some swinging cauldrons! Open from Wednesday to Sunday from 5pm top 9:30pm

• Hutton Brickyards, Kingston - Hutton Hangout with Sarah Perrotta and DJ Harlan from 6pm to 9pm 🔥
