Catskill Crew Newsletter šŸ»

Letter #19

Hey Thereā€¦

February 26th

Events can change, because things happen and Iā€™m not perfectā€¦

šŸ‘Æ Letā€™s Hang Out

Well friends, weā€™re about to hit 2,000 members in our little-big Catskill Crew community, and it only feels appropriate that we start hanging outā€¦ you know, in the real world.

So, having said that, Iā€™m starting to talk to some fine establishments across the Catskills to host a monthly happy hour and maybe something bigger down the line.

Let me know if youā€™d have any interest šŸ—³ļø

Would you come to a Catskill Crew Happy Hour?

šŸ’³ļø Update: Catskill Crew Card

The cards have arrived!

I asked everyone who said they were interested to set the price, and the people have spokenā€¦ $25 per card.

DEALS VALID TILL END OF YEAR

Want yours? There are two ways: venmo or paypal. I attached the links below. Just add a note with your name and mailing address or email it to me after payment and Iā€™ll start shipping them right away!

Iā€™ll get a Shopify set up soon to simplify the purchase process, but I need more caffeine first. Iā€™ll pick the winner of the Steven Weinberg print on Monday. May the odds be ever in your forever šŸ¤ž

šŸŽ£ Fly Fishing in the Catskills

A bunch of you have reached out around our shared ā€œaddictionā€ of fly fishing, and given the historical role it has played in the Catskills, Iā€™ll see what else we can do around integrating it further into Catskill Crew. But in the meantime, I wanted to share one of my favorite local documentaries about fly fishing: Land of Little Rivers created by Aaron Weisblatt and Bruce Concors. Its a good one!

šŸš€ Flying Goose Tavern

Thereā€™s a new kid on the block, Flying Goose Tavern located on Main St in Kerhonkson just celebrated its grand opening. Iā€™ll be stopping by real soon to check it out and suggest you all do as well.

šŸ‘Øā€šŸ”¬ Chugability Report

Disclaimer: Donā€™t actually chug this, pleaseā€¦

Winter time is when I reach for the ā€œbrown waterā€ and one of my favorites is the Straight Bourbon Whiskey from Do Good Spirits located in Roscoe, aka Trout Town USA.

Whether you drink it neat, with a cube, a tray of cubes, or mixed into your favorite concoction, this will keep you warm all winter long.
