Oh hay there. I’m on a holiday adventure, so brace yourself for some good old-fashioned typos. But fear not, I’m on a mission to deliver you a weekly dose of some of that Catskill Goodness. Let’s get right into it!

Creative Spotlight 🕯️

Introducing Jamie Kennard, a genuine luminary of the Catskills and a master of many trades. But that's not all; Jamie's notching up an impressive streak of over five hundred 5ks in a row, conquering them on skis, bikes, hikes, runs— any way he can. Beyond his athletic feats, Jamie is a documentarian, a bird-watching extraordinaire, a skier that reaches summit before the sun crests over the peaks, and a truly skilled photographer (his work has graced the pages of Flylords as well as And North).

Monday 25th

• West Kill Brewing, West Kill - Open 12pm to 6pm with Briskethead BBQ 🐷 

• Salt Box, Kingston - Open from 3:30pm to 3am 👀 

Tuesday 26th

• Tinker Street Tavern, Woodstock - The forth installment of vintage concerts from some of Woodstock’s greatest residents continue, free pizza until they run out! Next on the list is JANIS JOPLIN at 7pm 🎸 

• Keegan Ales, Kingston - Drink beers and test your wits with Trivia Break Tuesdays with Andre at 6:30pm

• Upward Brewing, Livingston Manor - Opens at noon for lunch, hiking, and 3pm boxing day party with the David Walton Band 🍻 

• Pearl Moon, Woodstock - Open for brunch from 9am to 4pm

• West Kill Brewing, West Kill - BBQ is back at the brewery again today, open 12pm to 6pm with Briskethead serving up the good stuff

Wednesday 27th

• The Pines, Mt. Tremper - Live Music at The Pines! Jazz with the legends » Ben Perowsky, Fema Ephron, Don Byron, and David Gilmore. See you there! ⭐️ 

• Hutton Brickyards, Kingston - Hutton Hangout with DJ Red Lion from 6pm to 9pm 🔥 

• Pearl Moon, Woodstock - Dave Laks and Tom Depetris throwing down for the acoustic supper club at 6:30pm

• Zadas, Margaretville - Singer / songwriter Paul Murphy takes the stage at 6pm

• West Kill Brewing, West Kill - Come get a beer or 5 and enjoy asian style street food from Eat Church 12pm to 6pm 🫡

• Keegan Ales, Kingston - The 7 piece band, Gottasee will be playing funk, soul, and R&B

• Seminary Hills, Callicoon - Happy hour from 3pm to 6pm then live music with pianist Nathaniel Aguilar from 5pm to 8pm

• Zadas, Margaretville - Come listen to Jazz singer Hiroko Kanna and grab a drink at 8pm

Saturday 30th

• Bridge and Tunnel Brewery, Liberty - Ok folks this one you have to check out. Outlaw Wrestling, a live 2 hour show, 6 adrenaline fueled bouts. Wrestling & beer… Beer & wrestling. I mean come on. Doors at 6pm and bell at 7pm tickets on sale 🤼 

• Keegan Ales, Kingston - Abraham & The Groove are back for another funky night with sweet soul music

• Tinker Street Tavern, Woodstock - DJ DOOKZ at 9pm ⏺️

Sunday 31st

Take a Hike 🌲 

No seriously, go take a hike with the DEC’s First Day Hike Series. There are two options to choose from on January 1st.

• 4 mile loop through an old stone quarry and up to the summit of Bramley Mountain with amazing views of the western Catskills.
  Meet in Delhi at the Bramley Mountain trailhead at 11am with Alexa Tumbarello - more info

• A shorter option is a 0.5 mile loop to the Upper Esopus Fire Tower with David Hans. Meet in Mt. Tremper at the Visitor Center at 11am more info

Both hikes are hosted by The Catskill Center and they will be giving away free swag and one free NYS Parks Empire Pass at each hike.
