Gather around. I have the latest edition of Catskill Crew for you. I hope you enjoy and I’ll see ya out there.

GATHERINGS
LOCAL’S NIGHT
My friends and my neighbors, I come to you with joyous news. Our Mondays have been quiet for far too long — so Catskill Crew is joining forces with Ralph's Bar and Bowling in Big Indian to officially and unequivocally launch Monday Local’s Night.
I repeat, MONDAY NIGHT is now LOCAL'S NIGHT at RALPH'S from 3 to 9 PM.

Every single Monday there’ll be:
$99 special for a beer, a shot, AND a room for a one-night stay.
Three-frame bowling tournament — whoever gets the highest score wins a prize — maybe some limited edition bowling shirts in the future?
White Russian drink special from Erik behind the bar, because the Dude certainly does abide.
Free pool upstairs — but warning, there are pool sharks in our midst.
Top-notch pizza from Auggie over at Tiny Pizza Kitchen. The Miss Betty White clocks in at a strong 14 out of 10 stars.
And for those of you who haven’t been to Ralph's yet, you should fix that. The food and drink are exceptional and the staff is incredible (we'll miss you, Mike — have fun in New Orleans).

GAMES
RIVER LEGENDS
The leaderboard continues to be an absolute battleground with our current champion AJA dominating first place with that 418 lb 2 oz bag.
But from the river’s depths, the mysterious CRW and BOB have moved up to claim 2nd and 3rd place.

There’s still a big gap to close for the top spot. Can it be retaken? Only time will tell.
“This game has taken my productivity level down to 0% but the nostalgic feel and drive to get the Legends is AWESOME!” — CHRIS

WOODSTOCK
BLOCK PARTY
I think it’s time we throw ourselves a good old fashioned BBQ & Block Party down in Woodstock with the talented folks at Woodstock Meats and The Clubhouse.

We’ll be grillin’: Smash burgs, Latin-inspired chicken sandos, house-made sausages, and so much more.
We’ll be slingin’: Beer from Kingston Standard, Hugo spritzes, hibiscus margs, and a watermelon vodka fizz — just to name a few.
Yard games will be set up in hopes of inspiring some good long-lasting rivalries.
Come on out to Woodstock Meats on Labor Day Monday, September 7th, anytime from 4 to 8PM. This gathering shall be a proper farewell to summer. Hope to see ya there.

DO YOU KNOW
BOBCATS
The Bobcat (Lynx rufus) is our resident wild cat and measures in at about twice the size of a domestic cat.
They are stealthy hunters that ambush their prey with short, explosive bursts and are powerful enough to take down deer.

Can you guess a Bobcat’s top speed?

TOGETHER WITH
BOSCOBEL HOUSE & GARDENS
Just south of Cold Spring, set on 68 acres overlooking the Hudson River, sits Boscobel House & Gardens — a Federal-period landmark from the years just after the Revolution, saved from demolition in the 1950s and rebuilt piece-by-piece on the bluff where it stands today.
Embark on a guided tour, where expert guides bring to life the craftsmanship, stories, and people that shaped Boscobel more than two centuries ago. Then wander the formal gardens, the Native Meadow, or the Woodland Trail that leads down to Constitution Marsh — one of NY State's largest bird sanctuaries.
Boscobel also hosts the Boscobel Chamber Music Festival, now in its fifth season: the 2026 program explores the shared roots of European and American folk traditions, offering four public concerts that feature amazing musicians who have performed at Lincoln Center with the NY Philharmonic.
Plan your visit and grab your Festival Tickets here.

FROM THE ROAD
SETTING SUN
As many of my family, friends, neighbors, and bartenders know… I’m currently on the annual road trip chasing wild trout and ice cold waters.

This year, unlike last year, the vehicle has yet to break down and I intend to keep that trend going.
I’ll keep taking photos and updating this gallery as the adventures continue.
